Responsibility... Galations 6:5

Responsibility

"Grant that my children may learn responsibility, for each one should carry his own load." Galations 6:5

Dear Lord,

I pray that my children will learn and understand the importance of responsibility in their lives. 

Help myself and my husband to be great examples to them by showing them what it means to be a responsible person and living out our responsility.  May our children see us as an example.  Help us to set guidelines and rules that are clear and understood by our children.  Let responsibility be a discussion topic in our everyday lives. 

When disobedience or not following through on responsibilites, help us to be loving yet firm with consequences so that our children do realize that responsibilities bring consequences.  When responsibility is followed, positive outcomes will result.  In the same sense, when a rule is broken, we will teach responsibility and he or she must suffer the consquence.

God grant that my children will learn to be responsible and that this responsibility may be used for your Glory in the years to come as they grow up in their faith.

We have just started having Chloe help me make her bed each morning...

It's not always perfect, but she is learning responsibilities. 

The most fun part is throwing the pillow on top of the bed...

and then sometimes we let Pooh sleep on her bed, but most days Pooh comes with us to play!

P.S.  Sometimes we have FUN after making our beds and jump on them too!!  (but quickly make up the beds afterwards again!)  :)
